White boosts Mote’s chances

The Mote have made things interestin­g in the Division 1 promotion race after beating long-time leaders Canterbury.

The decision to open the bowling with Matt White (4-17) paid off as the city club, who dropped to second following their nine-wicket defeat, were bowled out for just 84.

White removed the top order as Canterbury slipped to 15- 4, backed up by Glen Aukett, who bowled well for figures of 1-20 from 10 overs.
