Linton Park clinched the Division 2 title with a seven-run victory over Meopham. Dan Thirkell (87) and Lewis Burnham (56) played the key knocks as Park closed on 238-5. In reply, Meopham fell short on 231-5, Richard Knowler taking two wickets. Marden celebrated the Division 3 title after beating Shoreham by 114 runs. Sam Tomkinson (81 not out) led them to 182-9, hitting nine fours and two sixes. Charlie Newport (4-17) wiped out the top order then Jay Quensell (4-7) took over as Shoreham were dismissed for 68. In Division 1, Bearsted lost to Bidborough by 117 runs. James Tyson took 5-44 but a century stand helped Boro to 285. Tyson (54) also batted well but Bearsted could only reach 168. Linton Park 2nds closed 18 runs short in Division 5. Meopham 2nds made 230-5 with Linton 212-6 in reply. West Farleigh closed in on Division 6 survival thanks to an eight-wicket victory over Farningham. Greg Snape (92 not out) and Ian Prideaux (71) were the star men as Farleigh met a target of 247 with 2.3 overs to spare. They are 11 points clear of the relegation zone with a game to play. Marden 2nds made it a double promotion for the club. They’re on their way up from Division 7 after a four-wicket win over Shoreham 2nds. Joseph Young (67) led the way as Marden chased down 207. The Weald of Kent League cup finals day took place at Sutton Valence School on Sunday. Marden under-11s completed the double with a 94-run win over Leeds & Broomfield. Leeds reached a net score of 233 after a strong display in the field by Marden. Marden then recorded 327 for the loss of just three wickets with Connor Gorman (17), Sam Clarke (16) and Charlie Latham (13) leading the way. The tables were turned in the under-13 final when a strong top-order batting display saw Leeds reach 138 in their Division 4: Chestfield v Addington Village, Frindsbury v Bexley 4ths, Harvel v Faversham, Minster v Blackheath Wanderers City of London.
