The 22-year-old welterweight, trained by brothers Johnny and Frank Greaves, was due to have a break from boxing but jumped at the chance to feature on the Carl Greaves Promotion show on September 23.

Former kickboxing champion Hennon has won four out of five professional fights since making his debut in June 2015.

He said: “I’ve had a bit of time off over the summer. I enjoyed a holiday to Mexico for a couple of weeks but I’m glad to be back in the gym and just want to fight again now.

“Carl was on the phone to Johnny asking for another fight to be put on the show in September.

“I said that I’ll diet as much as I can without killing myself so they’re looking for opponents for me at around 10st 10lb.

“It’ll be another four-rounder and just be good for me to get out and get another win on the record.

“I had planned to wait until November but I just want to get back in there.”
