The Mote finished fourth in Division 1 after losing to champions Holmesdale on the final day of the season.
The Maidstone side went into the game still with an outside chance of promotion as runners-up.
They needed to win and hope others results went for them but rivals Sandwich beat Linden Park anyway and go up in second place.
Matt White’s bowling has been a huge plus this season and he removed the openers before spinner Will Thirkell claimed 4- 45 as Holmesdale closed on 276- 8.
Jason White top scored with 45 as The Mote were bowled out for 203, beaten by 73 runs.
Leeds & Broomfield ended a solid first season in Division 3 with a seven-wicket defeat by promoted Chestfield.
Leeds, who finished sixth, slipped to 154 all out.
Monte McCague broke a big opening stand but Chestfield were comfortable winners.
Offham’s hopes of a finalday victory were ended by rain.
Their Division 4 match at Westgate was called off with the hosts 108-2 from 17 overs in reply to 288-9.
Rain also ruined an intriguing battle between Addington Village and Bexleyheath.
Addington were all out for 150 but had the visitors 120-7 when the umpires called a halt.
In Division 1 2nd XI action, The Mote reached 243-7 against Holmesdale, who were 118-2 when rain stopped play.
In Division 4, Addington Village lost at Chestfield by 228 runs.
It was hard work in the field as Chestfield closed on 331-5.
Phil Roxburgh made 40 at the top of the reply but 10-man Addington were all out for 103.
Offham’s Division 5 match against Hartley was incomplete.
Runs down the order from Simon Bowden (42) helped Offham to 206-8.
Hartley were nicely placed on 152-3 when the game was called off.
