Men charged over attack

Three men will appear at Maidstone Crown Court over an attack that left a man with a broken jaw.

The assault happened in the early hours in Upper Stone Street and the trio were arrested the following day.

David Ademiju, 26, of Brewer Street, Maidstone; Samuel Grief, 23, of Lucerne Street, Maidstone; and Joseph Jabatie, 28, of Thackeray Road, Larkfield, were charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

Grief was also charged with assault by beating and Jabatie was charged with two counts of assaulting a police officer.

The trio appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Friday, September 9, and the attack took place on Tuesday, September 6.

Ademiju and Jabatie were remanded in custody and Grief released on bail.

All three have been sent to Maidstone Crown Court and are due to appear there on Friday, October 7, for a hearing.
