Four migrants found in lorry

Four suspected migrants – three from Iraq and one from Iran – have been found in the back of a lorry.

Police were called at 5.32pm on Friday to reports of the quartet in a lorry that had stopped on Detling Hill, Maidstone.

The lorry was pulled over in the bay on the northbound carriageway of the A249.

The Iraqis were taken into custody to be interviewed by immigration officers, while the Iranian, a minor, was released into the care of Kent County Council.
