It’s a dog’s life
Kent Showground was full of wet noses and waggy tails for the return of Paws in the Park.
Dogs were unleashed on activities including fun agility courses, obedience tests and a dash and splash contest in the pool.
The show ran on Saturday and Sunday and also featured displays of Guide Dogs in action, TV and stunt stars and dog performers doing heelwork to music.
There was a shopping centre dedicated to doggy goods.
The weekend, run by MDS Shows, is now in its 10th year and saw 14,000 visitors through the gates.
Jacqui Curtis directs the show with partner Adrian Bassett. She said: “It was a brilliant weekend. One of the highlights was the dog dancing with Dima Yeremenko who was in control of 15 dogs which was quite something to watch. It was the first year we have had wolves at the show and the dash and splash was as popular as ever.”
Meanwhile on Sunday, rescued greyhounds became stars of a magazine photoshoot in Boughton Monchelsea.
The dogs, from the Forever Hounds Trust, were photographed alongside fashion model Billie Ford at Lux Studios in Heath Road, for a feature in Bark! Life Magazine.
Emma Butler, from the trust said: “The day was a fantastic way to raise awareness about the charity and to try and find homes for these dogs.”
