Drink-driver was twice limit
A 32-year-old man has admitted drink driving, and being behind the wheel without insurance or a licence. Edward Adams, of Quarry Road, Maidstone, drove his Mazda 6 in Quarry Road on June 19 and gave a breath test of 77mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35 mg. Maidstone magistrates banned Adams from driving for 20 months. He must also pay a £240 fine, £85 costs and a £30 victim surcharge. Disqualification can be reduced by 151 days if, by October 12, 2017, he satisfactorily completes an approved course.
