Find out more by calling Maureen on 01622 721238. Lunch and auction: St Margaret’s Harvest lunch and auction is set for Sunday, October 2 with a 12.30pm start in the village hall, Heath Road. This will be preceded by an All Age Worship in church at 10am. Sharing a meal is great fun with activities for the children as well as the auction. Gifts will be collected at the morning service and taken to the hall for the sale with the resultant cash raised going to the church’s four mission links – Chernobyl Families, Delhi Brotherhoo­d, Sister Christobel and Corrie Verduyn (CMS). Meanwhile the congregati­on will be asked to provide items for the lunch. A list of the various foods needed for the lunch can be seen in the church with the aim of preventing a surfeit of some foods at the expense of others. We shall remember them: As An Act of Remembranc­e, the Rev John Corbyn from Holy Cross Church, Bearsted and St. Mary’s Church, Thurnham is going through all those who died in WW1 and lived locally. When a date falls for one of these deaths, the Rev Corbyn holds a short Act of Remembranc­e outside the house or near to the house where the person lived and lays a wreath.
