Finance workers’ generosity

-

Finance workers teed off a charity golf day with a gift to a children’s cancer charity close to their hearts. The St James’s Place Foundation presented a cheque for more than £16,500 to Clic Sargent, raised during a 10km sponsored run at Bedgebury National Pinetum in May. They were inspired to help after colleague Martin Wilkinson, of ML Wilkinson Wealth Management, received support from the charity when his 11-year-old son Joshua was diagnosed with a rare bone cancer, Ewing’s sarcoma, which affects just 30 children a year. The presentation took place at Tudor Park Golf Club in Ashford Road, Bearsted. Nicky Ridgewell, of ML Wilkinson Wealth Management, said: “Clic Sargent have been absolutely fantastic helping Joshua and his family so we wanted to give something back.” In total, 22 workers took part in the sponsored run.
