Action group raises funds with quiz

-

Around 80 residents and supporters of the Save Fant Farm group went to a quiz night.

It took place at Fant Hall, in Fant Lane on Saturday.

Quizmaster Gareth Owen said: “The most important thing is everybody had a lot of fun, but we also raised several hundred pounds for the cause too, which will be very useful.”

The action group is preparing to appear at a public inquiry scheduled to start on Tuesday, January 17, to oppose an application by Gleeson Homes to build 225 homes on Fant Farm below Gatland Lane. Mr Owen said: “We are not engaging a barrister or QC, as the other parties will be doing. It will be just us.

“Nevertheless there is a considerable cost – as everything has to be printed in quadruplicate.”
