Kent Messenger Maidstone

Wi-Fi now free at town precinct

-

Fremlin Walk, has launched free, easyto-access and familyfriendly Wi-Fi.

With connection speeds of up to 24mbps, no login is required to access websites.

The service also carries the Friendly Wi-Fi accreditation, ensuring sites blocked by the Internet Watch Foundation cannot be accessed.

Centre manager Lloyd Wright said: “This is a step up from our previous Wi-Fi provision. It’s fast, easy to connect to and safe.

“The whole of Maidstone town centre should offer a similar service. Smart mobile devices are now part of our culture and there are many benefits to providing customers with fast internet access – not least so they can engage with our social networking and other digital platforms to redeem exclusive offers and gain inspiration for purchases.”
