Sutton Valence

-

Johnny Walker rescued a point for Sutton Valence 2nds with a classy late goal last Saturday.

They were trailing Old Beccs 2nds 1- 0 in Kent Open Premier A until Walker took the ball out of the air and directed it home.

Sutton Valence vets lost 6-1 at Purley in the Surrey Vets Conference.

The midfield and defence of Geoff Bell, Mike Nettle, Julian Mills, Andy McVarish and Nigel Bardsley worked tirelessly in the second half to contain Purley.

Valence, who borrowed four players to make up the numbers, scored a late consolation when Ross Jacobs found Paul Linaker, who clipped the ball past the keeper.
