Bearsted were hit by a last-gasp Sevenoaks winner in the Southern Counties East Premier Division to lose 3-2 last Saturday. It had taken Sevenoaks just eight minutes to go ahead when Kieron McCann’s deflected shot went past keeper Scott Andrews. Bearsted responded positively and 10 minutes later, Keelan Mooney found the head of Andy Irvine to steer the ball past keeper Oshane Brown. The hosts regained the lead after 52 minutes when McCann exploited some slack play before setting up Billy Bennett to run on and fire past Andrews. The lead again, though, was shortlived as within four minutes the Bears were level when a Michael Holliday corner was not dealt with and Bradley Webb scored from close range. Bearsted had a good chance to go ahead but a cross from the left just evaded Matt Garner before Webb was denied by the keeper. The hosts took the points when some indecisive play at the back allowed Harrison Camacho to ease through the penalty area and score the winner. Bearsted: S Andrews, Flisher, G Andrews, Hart, Sage (Hughes), Holliday, Garner, Bartrum (Hayes), Webb, Irvine, Mooney (Matthews). Bearsted, who are second bottom, host second-placed AFC Croydon tomorrow (Saturday) at Honey Lane. In Division 1, two goals in the first half-hour sent Snodland to a 2- 0 defeat at Forest Hill. Snodland host Sutton Athletic on Saturday as sixth plays seventh, while K Sports return to action after a two-week break with a trip to second-bottom SC Thamesmead.
