Despite a below-par performanc­e, Yalding & Laddingfor­d ran out 7-1 winners at Kings Hill in the Express Cabs Maidstone Boys League, Under-13 Division 4. Steven Pettican grabbed his second consecutiv­e hat-trick courtesy of two assists from Luke Blackburn and Jamie Flintan. Flintan was also on target twice, set up by Pettican and Ben Hutchins, while Hutchins converted Louis Smith’s flick-on. Smith was the other scorer with a neat half-volleyed effort from another piece of creative play by Flintan. Yalding: Griffin, Thornton, Makin, Mooney, Hutchins, Joe Flintan, Springall, Smith, Blackburn ( Fox) Jamie Flintan, Pettican. Bearsted under-18s continued their Kent Cup run with a 2-1 win over Tunbridge Wells. Bearsted took the lead through an Albert Courtnell screamer into the top corner - the full-back’s second goal in as many games. Luke Snazel scored his 12th goal of the campaign to add a second as Bearsted progressed.
