Replay on the box

Gillingham will travel to Blackpool in the second round of the FA Cup – but only if they can avoid defeat to Brackley in front of live TV cameras. BT Sport have chosen to broadcast Gills’ first round replay against Brackley live, with the game taking place on Wednesday night (7.45pm). The Gills will be hoping for a better night than the last replay at Brackley, in 2013. That game was also on live TV as Gillingham lost 1- 0. The teams drew 2-2 at Priestfield last Saturday, Gills coming back from 2- 0 down, thanks to Frank Nouble’s first-half double. Gills could make more than £ 50,000 out of their evening’s work, with both teams receiving £ 33,750 from the television rights and £18,000 in prize money, which is still up for grabs to the winners. Fellow Kent side Dover will also be on live TV, with their replay against Cambridge United chosen for coverage on the Thursday night. Gillingham are set for a second TV showing before the end of the year with Sky also showing their away match against Bolton Wanderers. The game has been moved from Saturday, December 10 to Monday, December 12 (kick-off 8pm). Second round draw: Westfields or Curzon Ashton v Bury or AFC Wimbledon, Chesterfield v Wycombe, Millwall v Braintree Town, Macclesfield v Oxford United, Bolton v Sheffield United, Blackpool v Gillingham or Brackley Town, Whitehawk or Stourbridge v Northampton, Boreham Wood or Notts County v Peterborough, Cambridge United or Dover v Coventry or Morecambe, Port Vale v Hartlepool, Bristol Rovers or Crawley v Barrow or Taunton, Woking v Accrington Stanley, Lincoln City v Oldham, Luton v Yeovil or Solihull Moors, Sutton United v Cheltenham or Crewe, Eastleigh or Swindon v Halifax or Dagenham and Redbridge, Shrewsbury v Southport or Fleetwood, Charlton v MK Dons, Plymouth v Newport or Alfreton, Carlisle v Maidstone United or Rochdale.
