Lights, camera, action... in aid of hospice

-

A light has been shone on the generosity of fundraisers who enjoyed a Christmas switch-on and have so far raised £1,796 for the Heart of Kent Hospice.

Lighting Up Allington’s Christmas display came to life on Friday night, and collection buckets were filled up on Friday night with around £500.

It offers a show every half an hour between 5.30pm and 8pm until New Year’s Day, in return for donations. The 150 switches and 16,000 lights forming the display are controlled by John Walker and Stevie Adams, left, the couple behind the Castle Road spectacle.

Mr Adams said: “It was absolutely amazing. The best part was when we played Let it Go and you couldn’t hear the music because everyone was singing so loud.”
