Pupils tell beautiful tale

-

An annual school’s production told an age-old tale last week.

Cornwallis Academy students put on an adaptation of Beauty and the Beast, The Story of Beautiful Belle.

The Hubbards Lane school welcomed members of the public to see the show on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday last week, and staged a matinee performance for the nearby primary schools.

The story tells how Belle and the Beast fell in love, before he transformed into a handsome prince.

April Watts, head of the performing arts department, said: “The students were absolutely brilliant. They worked so hard in rehearsals and their efforts really did pay off.

“It was a fantastic production.”
