Three schools celebrate going up in the rankings

Head teacher Deborah Stanley said: “We are delighted the outstandin­g performanc­e of all our students in the summer examinatio­ns has been confirmed, which reflects the commitment from all the staff to ensuring our students achieve their very best at MGGS.” Maidstone Grammar School enjoyed great success in the summer, with 46% of GCSE exams graded either A or A* and 63% of A-levels given between an A* and a B.

Maidstone’s Oakwood Park Grammar did not make the top 250, despite a triumphant August, with a third of A-levels achieving As and A*s, 84% of tests being marked as at least a C, and a third of GCSE pupils gaining five or more A* and A grades.
