Fellowship: The Ladies Fellowship of Bearsted Methodist Church will have their Christmas lunch on Tuesday, December 13. RSPB outing: The local group will visit the Dungeness peninsula on Sunday, December 18. People from churches in Lordswood and Walderslad­e will join together for this annual occasion. Refreshmen­ts after. Great result: A big thank you to all who attended the cake and coffee morning on December 3 in the village hall and raised £422 for Macmillan Cancer Support. There was a variety of craft stalls selling woodwork items, costume jewellery, knitted toys and a raffle was held. Refreshmen­ts were enjoyed by all and many local Macmillan volunteers supported the event. The Salvation Army Band will play, joined by the newly formed Boughton Monchelsea Community Choir. Refreshmen­ts will be provided. A Carol Service by Candleligh­t will be held on Sunday, December 18 at 4pm with the school choir. Then at 6.30pm there will be another Candelit Carol Service with the Community Choir. The Christmas Eve Crib Service takes place at 4pm.
