-

A massive search operation for a missing teenage angler ended in tragedy when his body was found in a lake.

Jack Morrisson was reported missing at 2pm on Tuesday and an extensive search was launched.

It ended in sadness on Saturday afternoon when his body had been found.

The 16- year- old, from Fawkham, died while fishing at lakes in Sutton-at-Hone, near Dartford. His devastated family released a tribute to the boy “we loved more than words can say”.

It read: “Although our hearts are broken that your life was short we want to celebrate your life that we were so blessed to be a part of.

“Your love of football was answered by playing for Volenti Football Academy and your weekends were spent on your one true love, fishing. You have brought so much joy to us and we feel so blessed to have had you.

“Your life was not a waste and the last year you had become so funny, constantly making us laugh and thank you God for that, as we now have so many stories to share of your cheeky jokes.”

Jack’s family also thanked Dartford and District Angling and Preservation Society, Kent Search and Rescue volunteers, Kent Fire and Rescue Service, and police officers.

Jack, who studied at Longfield Academy, was a keen West Ham fan, and dozens have paid tribute to the teenager they affectionately called Bubbles.
