Early lamb out to beat the rush

-

The first lamb of the season has been born at a Stockbury farm.

Butchers and farm shop MB Farms, The Street, welcomed the early arrival just before Christmas. Lambs are usually expected at the end of January through into early February.

Partner Nicholas Brown said: “It’s quite big now. We have all the ewes scanned so she was marked as being early.

“Last year we had one arrive in November.”

The lamb was born at full term, and is expected to be joined by more than 500 others at the end of the month.
