Quiz raises cash for sensory room

-

A quiz tonight (Friday) will raise money for a sensory room at The Heathside Centre in Heath Road, Coxheath.

The Gift of Play appeal, run by i care, the charitable arm of Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust, aims to raise £28,000 for the room to help children with life-limiting condi- tions. One-year-old Edie Hughes, from Oakwood Park, Maidstone, has quadriplegic cerebral palsy and visits a similar centre in Gillingham once a month.

Mum Marianne said: “If we didn’t use it I know Edie wouldn’t be doing so well or be at the stage she is now.

“If we could use a sensory room once a week at Heathside I know that Edie would benefit.”

The Big Fat Quiz will be held at Maidstone United Football Club, James Whatman Way, from 7pm, and entry will cost £10 including supper.

Call Lewis King on 01233 667827 or email kchft.charity@nhs.net to book.
