Man rescued from pub fire
Firefighters spent four hours tackling a blaze at a pub in Chatham.
Flames tore through the Victoria Cross pub in Lordswood Lane from 4am on Wednesday.
A man was helped out of a topfloor window by firefighters. He was given care by paramedics but it is believed he was not injured.
Neighbours were warned to keep windows closed due to the amount of smoke billowing from it. The cause is not known, but there will be an investigation.
