Firms should pay for through route

I have been driving up Hermitage Lane regularly, since the recent Aldi and McDonald’s development has been opened.

I have noticed a dramatic increase in traffic delays, in both directions, at the bottom end of the road.

It is mostly due to the dedicated lights allowing vehicles into the development from both directions, while holding up through traffic.

The planners should have allowed for a dedicated through route both ways, so the main traffic would not be held up by the development site traffic. There is enough adjacent undeveloped land to have
