Silent tribute

Boxley parish councillors observed a minute’s silence at their last meeting to honour local farmer Edward Eckley. Mr Eckley, who passed away on January 9, had served as a parish councillor for 10 years from 1988 to 1998. Mr Eckley, from Boarley Farm, died peacefully in the Heart of Kent Hospice. He was 78.
