Tools theft

More than £1,500 of power tools, aftershave and meat were stolen during a monthlong crime spree. Joseph Daniels, 31, of Waterlow Road, Maidstone, admitted five counts of shoplifting after committing the offences between December 28 and January 30 at Week Street, The Mall and B&Q in Barker Road. He was sentenced to 56 days in prison, suspended for 18 months and must pay £1,450.
