Brexit NHS fears are unfounded

John Cobbett writes that the NHS may suffer with Brexit because “it will restrict the number of medical staff and nurses coming to work in the NHS”.

This canard about people wishing to come to the UK after Brexit is often touted in various contexts, but surely it is wrong and misleading.

I imagine if all goes well with the negotiations, we will control who comes into the UK.

If people from wherever have a skill that the country needs and a job to come to, they presumably would be welcomed to come in. What would prevent that? Jon Bacon Harrietsham
