Estate crash teen charged
A teenager has been charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving after a car crashed into a group of people on Medway City Estate.
Fifteen bystanders were hurt when the Mini Cooper crashed during a gathering of car enthusiasts on the industrial estate in Strood in September.
Harlee Pendergast, 18, of Green Lane in Eltham, London, was arrested and has now been charged with four counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
More than 20 ambulance staff rushed to the scene after the accident.
Four men, aged between 20 and 50, were taken to a London hospital with serious injuries. Others were taken to Medway Maritime Hospital.
A further four people were treated at the scene but did not require hospital treatment.
Pendergast has been bailed to appear at Medway Magistrates Court on Tuesday, March 14
