‘LOTS OF FRIENDS’

-

Riley had lots of friends at Molehill Primary Academy, where he started in September.

Mum Joanne Bourne said he had taken the transition to big school in his stride.

She said: “He was settling in really well and enjoying himself.

“He’d made lots of friends because he was just that kind of child that could make friends with anyone he met.”

Gemma Brierley, principal at the school in Hereford Road, Shepway, said: “Staff, pupils and parents have been informed of the tragic news and we have already begun to organise professional support to help them cope and begin to come to terms with our loss.

“Our deepest sympathies are with Riley’s family during this difficult time and we will be working alongside the relevant agencies to give them any support they need.

“The school has commenced a collection to help the family with funeral costs and will continue to work with them to honour the memory in any way the family wishes.”
