‘KNOWN TO SHOUT ABUSE’
The court heard Watson’s name and description had been circulated among Kent Fire and Rescue Service staff following previous incidents.
John Bishop, prosecuting, said Watson had been known to shout abuse at firefighters, chase fire engines, and turn up to the scenes of emergencies and “make a nuisance of himself.”
He told police he had followed firefighters in the past, “driving like maniacs to get ice creams and stamps”, and that once his partner had nearly been run over by a fire engine.
Mr Bishop added: “Mr Watson seems to have been pursuing a vendetta against Kent Fire and Rescue Service for some years.”
