Open for fun and learning
Children enjoyed learning through play at a nursery open day this week.
West Borough Primary School welcomed prospective parents to the school on Wednesday to see the facilities on offer at the newly refurbished nursery, which has been running for 12 years.
Children can attend from the age of three until they are ready to start school.
Kids enjoyed splashing around in the water play area, as well as riding bikes outside and racing toy cars, while their parents spoke to headmistress Ashley Crittenden.
The school, on Greenway, Maidstone, currently offers part-time places for five threehour sessions a week, in the mornings and afternoons, and will soon offer all-day sessions.
Mrs Crittenden said: “We want to work with our families and support them in going back to work, and offering the full day has gathered a lot of interest from parents who would previously have discounted us. We’re really proud of the facilities we have here and the children seemed to enjoy themselves as well.”
