Man jailed for indecent child images
A man has been jailed after hundreds of indecent images of children were found on his computer.
Peter Futymed, of Kingfisher Meadow, Maidstone, was arrested on February 25 last year after police officers executed a search warrant at his home.
A forensic examination of the 51-year-old’s computer and CDs revealed it contained 638 indecent images of children. Of these, 144 were classed as Category A, the most serious level.
Futymed admitted possessing indecent pictures and searching for them on the internet as he found them titillating.
Futymed was subsequently charged with three offences of making indecent photographs of a child and four charges of possessing such images.
He appeared at Maidstone Crown Court last week where he pleaded guilty and received a prison sentence of 16 months.
DC Jon Baker said: “Futymed has tried to excuse his actions by blaming them on issues in his private life.
“This is unacceptable when one considers the pain and trauma suffered by the victims.”
