Music festival at football stadium
A family fair and music festival in aid of a homeless charity comes to Maidstone’s Gallagher Stadium this spring.
It kicks off with an 11-a-side football match between police and firefighters.
People are asked to raise funds for Making A Difference to Maidstone (MADM), a charity helping homeless and vulnerable people in the County Town on Saturday, April 15.
The day will include a fashion show, dance acts and live music followed by a sponsored sleepout. Amanda Sidwell, MADM founder, said: “Every night, unfortunately, up to 60 vulnerable or disadvantaged people are sleeping rough on the streets or sofa surfing in Maidstone.
“We believe everyone should have the right to have a roof over their heads and thanks to the amazing volunteers and the Gallagher Stadium, this event is going to be a milestone in our history and help us achieve our ambitious aim to create a much needed homeless shelter in Maidstone.”
