A Scott Andrews wonder save clinched victory for Bearsted against Erith Town last Saturday. Bears were coming under pressure defending a 2-1 lead when Andrews dived to his left to turn Nathan Palmer’s 30-yard strike past the post. Victory moved Bears above their opponents and into 14th place in the Premier Division. Kevin Stevens’ side opened the scoring after 14 minutes when Graeme Andrews fed the ball down the right to Reece Connor, whose cross was headed home by Matt Garner. Andy Hart hit the post from another Connor cross as Bears threatened a second but Erith levelled on the halfhour through Quinton Conteh. Town made a decent start to the second half, with Olakunie Kiwa’s deflected strike hitting the bar. Bears missed the chance to go 2-1 up when Ollie Bartrum clipped the bar with a penalty following a foul on Hart. But they grabbed the winner on 74 minutes, with Connor’s shot deflected into the path of Garner. Bears visit Fisher tomorrow (Saturday) and host Sevenoaks on Tuesday. Bearsted: S Andrews, Hughes (Flisher), Foster, Lyall, Bartum, G Andrews, Holliday (Carcary), Garner, Hart, Mooney (Williams). Subs not used: Sage, Donnelly. Attendance: 48.

K Sports continued their Division 1 promotion push with a 4-1 home win over Forest Hill. Rob Norman opened the scoring after 15 minutes, with Caine Smith doubling the lead on the half-hour. Hill replied with a goal in the second half but Jason Perry added Sports’ third and Smith completed victory. Sports remain fourth but could go two points behind leaders Rusthall by winning their games in hand. Boss Kris Browning said: “I still think Rusthall and Glebe have got the easier run-ins but we’ll keep going.” Snodland Town are 13th after goals from Tom Cackett and Curtis Reilly in a 2-1 win over Bridon Ropes. K Sports host Lewisham at Cobdown tomorrow, with Snodland at Eltham Palace.
