Steven Pettican and Donn Cameron took their combined goal tally to 54 as Yalding & Laddingfor­d beat Vinters Valley 5-3 in Maidstone Primary League Under-13 Division 4. Cameron, Pettican (2) and Archie Smith gave Yalding a 4-1 lead at the break. Vinters struck twice in the second half before Pettican completed his hat-trick with eight minutes left. Yalding: Parpworth, Joe Flintan, Hutchins, Mooney, Fox, Springall, Louis Smith (Thornton), Cameron, Archie Smith (Griffin), Jamie Flintan, Pettican (Makin). Bearsted lost 2-1 at Chatham in the Kent Youth League Under-18 South Division – their third defeat in a row. They started well but trailed when a free-kick evaded everyone and went in the far corner. Luke Snazel combined with Callum West to finish a good move for the equaliser but Chats scored again. Paddock Wood Primary School are through to the regional finals of the Danone Nations Cup. They won the county knockout rounds and will be up against teams from the south east at Sporting Thamesmead on March 16. A place in the national finals is at stake.
