He leaves be­hind fam­ily in­clud­ing his son Carlo, 13, and his 27-year-old niece, Chloe Palmer. She said: “He was full of laugh­ter, al­ways laugh­ing all the time and he was a fun char­ac­ter, the life and soul of any party. He was al­ways loyal and would do any­thing for you.

“He used to love the River Fes­ti­val and went ev­ery year. He used to have a boat that was his pride and joy.”

The shock­ing news of Mr Collins’ death was bro­ken to the fam­ily just two weeks af­ter his sis­ter, and Chloe’s mother, An­gela, died fol­low­ing a two-and-a-half year bat­tle with breast cancer.

Chloe added: “The only thing we want to say is it is really heart­break­ing with ev­ery­thing that is go­ing on at the mo­ment and we want to get to the bot­tom of it.”

A date for the open­ing of the in­quest into Mr Collins’ death has not yet been set.

A man and a woman have been bailed pend­ing fur­ther in­quiries, un­til Tues­day, May 2.
