Caring approach gets recognised

-

A Maidstone care home worker and former chip shop manager has been named Care Assistant of the Year.

Bluebird Care’s Zulal Ramadan was handed a cheque for £200 by Mayor of Maidstone, Cllr Derek Butler.

Miss Ramadan started her career with the Teston care providers two years ago and won the award based on client votes. It was part of the company’s Every Visit Counts campaign to combat loneliness.

She said: “I can’t believe I was nominated by so many customers.

“I love what I do and get great satisfaction out of my role.”

Jade Bray, Bluebird Care manager, added: “Each time Zulal visits into the office, she brings with her a bright, bubbly and warm atmosphere, which I know makes a difference to the lives of our customers.”
