Drive to get more girls playing

-

Staplehurst Cricket and Tennis Club are booming, with more than 400 members. But the club’s committee are not sitting on their laurels. Instead they are actively looking to bring new people into the games, especially girls. The club will be starting a dedicated girls’ cricket programme in April in partnership with ex-England international Lydia Greenway and her GirlsForCricket team. Greenway played for England in 14 Test matches, 126 oneday and 85 T20s matches. Meanwhile, there will be free tennis coaching sessions for children aged from three to 12 on Easter Monday, April 17. No previous experience is necessary and all equipment is provided but booking is essential. Email enquiries@ se-tennis.co.uk Full details of all sessions are available on www. staplehurstcricket.com
