Police appeal after lewd letter left at woman’s home
The lewd letter writer of Ditton has struck again with another victim revealing she has also received an anonymous sexual note.
Police launched an investigation after a woman, in her 60s, received six obscene handwritten notes.
A CCTV picture of a man detectives wish to speak to was released last week as they hunt the stranger behind the communications.
A mother, who wished to remain anonymous, has since come forward to say she too found a sordid message near her front door in Woodlands Road, Ditton, in December.
She said: “I saw somebody share the Kent Online story and I thought ‘that’s weird’ because I had a note left on my doorstep.
“The way it was written with the words used it made me think it was quite childish and I thought it might have been a teenager being silly.”
Another neighbour also found a sickening note, written in ink on ruled paper, outside her home suggesting there may be more than one targeted recipient.
She added: “I chucked it in the bin and thought nothing of it. Somebody else said they had received a note. I think he is just randomly handing them out. It might be good for the woman who told police about this to know that it is not just her being targeted and that the person is just randomly going around doing this.”
The latest sexually suggestive communication, written in black ink on a scrap piece of paper, was left on January 20 – but details have only just been released by police.
It was found by the original victim while she was putting out rubbish.
Detectives are still hunting the man who penned the perverse letters.
Inquiries are being carried out and officers are also checking for possible CCTV while forensic investigators could also be consulted should any traces of DNA be found on the notes.
If you recognise the man in the photo or have information, call police on 01622 604100, quoting reference YY/2281/17, or Crimestoppers, anonymously on 0800 555111.
