CUP FINAL: DOMINANT AYLESFORD BRUSH ASIDE EBBSFLEET

-

Aylesford are under-15 Kent County Cup champions for the first time after a 4- 0 win over Ebbsfleet United. They created several chances in a dominant start at Faversham’s Salters Lane ground on Sunday, going close when a header from man-ofthe-match Harrison Pont hit the bar. They finally went in front after half an hour when a cross from Luis Dos Santos was headed back across goal by George Nicholls-Brown for Oliver Lee to finish. Aylesford doubled their lead just before half-time, Dos Santos pouncing after Fraser Mason won possession and fed Pont, whose shot came back off the post. Captain Georgie English made it 3- 0 early in the second half. He fired home his first goal of the season after Dos Santos returned a Fleet clearance back into the box. Fleet tried to fight back but were reduced to 10 men when a defender handled in the box and was shown a second yellow card. Dos Santos missed the penalty but quickly made amends by winning back the ball from the goal kick and beating two defenders before crossing for Sam Newland to complete the scoring. Ben Folkard made a superb save to deny Fleet a consolation. Aylesford face Kent Football United in the Kent Youth League Challenge Cup final at Priestfield next month and are still in the South Division title race. Aylesford: Ben Folkard, George Nicholls- Brown, Luke Exall, Georgie English, Fraser Mason, Charlie Thomas, Harrison Pont, Oliver Lee, Zak Emmings, Sam Newland, Luis Dos Santos. Subs: Charlie Dale, Johannes Sadler.
