Stolen car baby items returned

Precious items stolen from grieving parents were found outside a police station – just hours after police told of their theft.

A car, containing the pieces belonging to the bereaved couple, was stolen from Dartford.

The black Ford Fiesta was taken from Mead Road last Wednesday.

The car contained a number of baby items, for a child who had recently died, including a blanket the baby was wrapped in at birth, as well as a red toy dinosaur and a blue baby mirror.

But, hours after the appeal, police confirmed the items inside the car had been returned.
