Hangar’s search for D-Day veteran

As the public relations person for the Biggin Hill Heritage Hangar, we are looking for a veteran of the RAF to take part in a D-Day ceremony at the airport on Tuesday, June 6, the anniversary of D-Day.

He need not necessarily be air crew, although this may be preferable.

Labour will be fielding rather a lot of new faces in the county at the general election, with several candidates who stood in 2015 declining to put their name forward this time. There is little doubt that behind some of these decisions is the tricky issue of the Corbyn leadership and a feeling that he is not the person to win the confidence of middle-England voters that Tony Blair did.
