An independent Italian is bringing a pizza beauty to the food map of Maidstone.

La Villetta opened in Pudding Lane in February this year, and is already proving popular.

It’s been a long-held ambition for partners Angelo Napoleone and Isabelle Decuypere, who met while working at an Italian restaurant in Rochester High Street.

Previously home to La Dolce Vita coffee shop, La Villetta offers home made Mediterranean dishes that native Italian Mr Napoleone is proud of.

He said: “People really appreciate an independent restaurant. It is exciting for both of us. You just do your best, and because we love it, for us it is a pleasure.”

The Pudding Lane eatery is open between 10am and 10pm Tuesday to Saturday, and between 11am and 4pm on Sundays. It is closed on Mondays. To book, call 01622 673759.
