Harry Blake was in impressive form during the opening meeting of the UK Youth Development League.

The Medway & Maidstone AC lower age group competitors were starting their summer season at Medway Park following last year’s promotion.

They showed their quality again by announcing themselves to Division 1 as potential promotion candidates for a second year.

Blake clinched first place in the discus and came second in both the hammer and shot.

There were also outstanding performances from David Adeleye in the 100m and 200m and Hamish Reilly in the 1,500m.

The club finished second, just behind last year’s runners-up, Brighton & Hove AC.
