The family of a much loved dog stolen from the oasthouse garden in Collier Street have vowed to continue their search.

Five-year-old female golden cocker spaniel Fifi was taken from Haviker Street at about 1.25pm on Sunday, January 22.

Devastated owner Kate Kershaw-Smith, 34, has received hundreds of calls, including a number of hoaxes. Last month the family went to Northamptonshire in hope but it a false alarm.

Fifi, who is infertile, was wearing a red collar with her name on it. She is microchipped. The family have offered a £1,000 reward.

Mrs Kershaw-Smith, said: “I do feel we will get her back one day. I don’t think we will get her any time soon but it will be one day. If her microchip hasn’t been removed there is still hope.”

“She has a docked tail and some really nasty wounds on her feet and her legs. Vets believe she has had her claws forcibly and traumatically removed, while her legs are covered in pressure sores and urine scald.”
