Air ambulance reaction annoying

Assistant news editor Senior reporter Senior reporter any parliamentary action to fix a really serious problem. Tony Monk Westerhill Road, Coxheath Senior reporter Senior reporter Reporter Your article last week regarding the re-siting of the Kent Air Ambulance to Rochester Airport, has got me annoyed.

Why people think it will detract from their enjoyment of life, and affect the local house prices has me bewildered.

One more helicopter every now and then, most days I admit, will have no effect whatsoever, so far as I can see.

I live right under the flight path of aircraft if the wind is in the right direction, but helicopters can go straight up and down, and can swing away over the motorway if need be, thereby they should not cause a problem for anyone, only those who panic too early and like a good moan.

We should be pleased the charity has chosen Rochester, and embrace them with open arms. After all, it is trying to save lives. Let’s hope these people find they have no need for the use of the service in the future, after all I would hate them to feel obliged to give money to the charity, which serves the county so well. Where is the democratic population clambering for £300k+ houses in Coxheath?

If they want to live in and around Maidstone why not look at the many online estate agencies where there are already around 2,500 existing houses for sale?

In my view building 210 houses on a green field on the single track Forstal Lane in Coxheath is ridiculous and as far as I can ascertain this will be the single biggest housing development in Coxheath ever.

Given the wholly non-urgent nature of the works, one might have hoped that the environment before and after the works was broadly comparable.

The colour of the surface finish to the trench dug is stridently different.

The surface finish to the trench appears, in places, to be breaking up; have gaps between the new finish and adjacent pathway; not level with adjoining path. Should my concerns be valid, the longevity of the finish, here, is questionable.

The parking of heavy vehicles and equipment has broken the surface of the road in Henley Fields such that a pothole is being created roughly four ft long and one ft wide.

I simply sought assurance from KCC there was a dialogue in place with the contractors to the redress of all identified shortcomings in the works. Graeme Wyles Henley Fields, Weavering
