Kings Hill set the early pace

Kings Hill are the early leaders in the Premier Division after a five-run victory over Blackheath Wanderers.

No.8 batsman David Tibbles top scored with 43, while Mohammed Cowdhury hit 37 in a total of 179.

Jack Raffles (4- 46) removed the Wanderers top order, including two caught-and-bowled, then Cowdhury (4-10) ended their hopes on 174 as Kings Hill made it two wins from two.

Staplehurs­t are up and running after a nine-wicket success against Bexley.

Tom Henson (4- 48) was the pick of the bowlers while Sam McConnel claimed 3- 40 as Bexley were bowled out for 171.

Graham Ward made 70 in reply, with Aaron Davey (58 not out) and Tom Davey (35 not out) completing a nine-wicket victory.

Hunton Wanderers fell 20 runs short against Bobbing Court & Lower Halstow in Division 1A Central.

Mike Bassam, James Price and Simon Taylor took two wickets each but 107 from opener Richard Gower led Bobbing to 182- 8.

Alex Newman, who ran out Gower, made 86 in reply but Hunton closed on 162-9.

Half-centuries from James Barker (62) and Simon Phipps (53) saw Headcorn beat Sheldwich by eight wickets with almost three overs to spare.

Andrew Fisher and Rob Mansell claimed two wickets each as Sheldwich were held to 175-7.

The Mote 3rds beat Sherwood by 18 runs.

Tom Grinstead (71) and Damion Grossett (43) led them to 196-7.

Sherwood wound up short on 178- 6, Martin Prudence (2-39) among the wicket-takers.

Rumwood were well beaten by Lordswood 3rds in Division 1B Central.

Joe Millen took 3- 40 but Lords reached 262-8. Extras top scored with 17 as Rumwood collapsed to 70 all out, beaten by 192 runs.

Staplehurs­t 2nds fell six runs short at Upchurch 3rds in Division 1B Central.

Jack Lusher (3-17) bowled well as Upchurch were restricted to 138-9.

Captain Gez Saunders made 58 in reply but Staplehurs­t could only manage 132-9.

Snodland Community lost to Sidcup 3rds by four wickets in Division 2A West. A total of 137-7 tested Sidcup but they won with nine balls in hand, Lee Hewitt with 2-38.

Leeds & Broomfield 2nds won by nine wickets in Division 2A East after skittling Littlebour­ne for 81.

In Division 2B Central, The Mote 4ths lost to Milstead 2nds by 14 runs.

Alex Presnell picked up 5-29 in 10 overs as Milstead were bowled out for 181.

Sam Reed (49) and James Walton (39 not out) led the reply but The Mote missed out.

Headcorn’s Division 2C Central match against Lordswood 4ths was tied. Both sides were bowled out for 133, Sanagul Maroufkhai­l (50) and Trevor Scrivens (4-19) the leading Headcorn performers.

Kings Hill 2nds were too strong for Yalding, winning by 110 runs.

Kevin Ambanpola made 41 in Kings Hill’s total of 209-7, Josh Gregory with 2-33 in 10 overs.

Ben Jackson, Matthew Blewett and Andy Sage took three wickets each as 10-man Yalding made 99 in reply.

Matt Hamilton claimed 4- 47 for Hunton 2nds but finished on the losing side.

Opponents New Ash Green closed on 193- 6 then limited the reply to 102-9 as Hunton went down by 91 runs.
