An eight-year-old boy will be lining up alongside Mark Wahlberg and Kevin Spacey after landing his first big screen role.

Kit Cranston secured a part in Ridley Scott’s upcoming film All The Money In The World after being snapped up by leading talent agency MB Talent.

The youngster’s acting acumen was spotted as he honed his skills at performing arts school Make Believe Sevenoaks, which tutors children in dance, acting, and singing.

Now Kit, from Meopham, is looking forward to leaving Kent for Italy to film the drama, which is based on the 1973 kidnapping of the son of American oil billionaire J. Paul Getty.

He will be playing the part of Mark Getty, one of J. Paul’s other sons.

Principal at Make Believe Sevenoaks, Kim Thursfield, said: “Kit is incredibly confident and I knew he would be perfect for the agency.

“I am so proud to have one of my own students be so successful through the agency.

“Kit goes on so many auditions and I am looking forward to what the future holds for him.”

The story is being written by David Scarpa and is expected to closely follow real life events, which saw the kidnappers blackmail the Getty family in order to secure a $2.9 million ransom before setting the teenager free.

In addition to Hollywood heavyweights Wahlberg and Spacey, Kit will be joined in the cast by Oscar-nominated actress Michelle Williams, who starred in Martin Scorsese’s Shutter Island.
