Police raid shop
One man has been charged and two more arrested after police raided a shop believed to be selling stolen goods in Maidstone.
Daniel Nicholson, 30, of Peel Street in the town, is due in court accused of theft and shoplifting after the store near the Union Street junction of Wheeler Street was searched on Monday.
A 57-year-old man has been released pending further inquiries and a third man has been released without charge.
Nicholson has been bailed to appear at Maidstone Magistrates’ Court on Monday, July 26.
Police seized about 200 bottles of alcohol, electrical items and large quantities of fresh meat.
An investigation is ongoing into alleged theft and reselling of items, believed to have been stolen from local businesses.
